Advocate Health deploys Aidoc AI imaging platform across 22 sites to benefit 63,000 patients annually with faster diagnoses

Advocate Health, the nation's third-largest nonprofit integrated health system, performs more than 8 million imaging studies annually across a geographically dispersed network. Care teams needed a scalable way to accelerate triage and earlier identification of critical findings — including pulmonary embolisms and intracranial hemorrhages — across both urban and rural care locations.

Following a successful pilot at 22 sites across Wisconsin and North Carolina beginning October 2024, Advocate Health signed an enterprise agreement to deploy Aidoc's aiOS™ platform system-wide. Three FDA-cleared algorithms were embedded into clinical imaging workflows to flag and prioritize pulmonary embolisms, incidental pulmonary embolisms, and intracranial hemorrhages. Planned expansion covers additional conditions including cervical spine fractures, rib fractures, pneumothorax, aortic dissection, abdominal free air, and brain aneurysms.

Based on internal modeling and early pilot outcomes, Advocate Health projects nearly 63,000 patients annually will benefit from faster prioritization and earlier diagnoses. The deployment is expected to reduce outpatient imaging wait times, improve workflow efficiency to reduce radiologist burnout, and enable more consistent care pathways for high-risk cases across all 69 hospitals.
