Without visibility, staff defaulted to a 'when in doubt, send them out' approach, resulting in unnecessary ER visits for events that didn't require emergency care (only 3% do). Extended time on the ground after a fall also raised risks of complications, dehydration, and mortality.

ONELIFE partnered with SafelyYou and deployed their AI-powered fall detection platform (SafelyYou Safety AI™) across all 13 communities, using computer vision to detect on-the-ground events with over 99% accuracy. The system distinguishes between true falls and intentional self-lowering events, instantly alerting staff. ONELIFE also expanded to SafelyYou Staffing AI™ to measure care delivery, adjust staffing based on real resident acuity, and align billing with actual care provided.

During a 74-day pilot across two communities, SafelyYou identified 174 intentional self-lowering events, eliminating unnecessary documentation and ER send-outs for those incidents. Response times dropped to under 2 minutes compared to an industry average of 40 minutes. Results were compelling enough that ONELIFE expanded SafelyYou to all 13 communities before the pilot formally concluded.
